Hair tip of the day: Conditioner
For color treated/damaged hair: After shampooing, leave conditioner in your hair for at least 1 to 5 minutes. Then rinse with cool water really well. Hot or warm water swells the hair and opens the cuticle up. The cool water will take swelling back down and will seal the hair's cuticle for hair to be smoother when dry. If you have damaged hair it's best to let hair air dry as long as possible because heat from a hair dryer will open the cuticles back up. Remember: Always use a really good heat protection when using blow dryers, flat irons, and curling irons to prevent future or further damage to hair.

Hair tip for the day
Busy and on the go? Coming from gym? Baby Powder gets rid of oil and sweat in your hair. Pour some baby powder in your hand, rub hands together and distribute throughout your hair. Then brush with comb or hair brush until the powder has been brushed out along with oil and sweat. Rinse your hair brush or comb in water afterwards.

Aloe Vera plant
Aloe Vera Plant
It is that time of year for burns, scrapes and bobo's. Aloe has so many uses!
Aloe Vera is used in cosmetics, medicinally, and herbally. It has soothing and healing properties.
I use it for burns, scrapes, minor wounds, annoying acne, and rosacea. I use it on my face to keep my skin clear and to keep my rosacea from flaring up and it works! For my son I put it on his bobo's or any burns and it's gentle and works better than anything else. It doesnt dry your skin out either. There are also aloe vera gel capsules (sold in stores over the counter in the dietary supplement aisle) for helping with stomach problems and helps with digestion. The plant is fairly cheap to buy though, less than $5. Aloe plant is also easy to grow and maintain. Its an indoor and outdoor plant. Please post any other uses for aloe and share. Aloe is safe and gentle to use for so many things.
